Arrival
Please arrive right on time for your session. These portraits work best when everything feels calm and easy from the start. Once you arrive at the studio, weâll take a few moments to settle in and let your child get comfortable in the space.
warm up
Before picking up the camera, I spend a little time chatting with your child finding out what they love, what makes them laugh and how they naturally interact. Thereâs no rushing straight into photos. Connection always comes first.
The Session
The session itself is short (around 15 minutes) and gently guided.
Thereâs no stiff posing or forced smiles. Instead, I encourage natural reactions through conversation, playfulness and simple prompts that allow real personality to shine through - whether your child is quiet, cheeky, energetic or somewhere in between.
Some children warm up instantly. Others take a minute. Both are perfectly normal and both create beautiful portraits.
after your session
Within 7â10 days, youâll receive a curated online gallery where you can view your childâs portraits and select your favourites.
From there, you can choose your image collection and order professional prints and artwork because these portraits are created to be seen, displayed and loved every day.

Your child doesnât need to perform, behave perfectly or even smile on command.
They just need to show up and be themselves.

A Personality Portrait Session is a short, relaxed studio photography session designed to capture genuine expression and natural personality. Rather than posed smiles, the focus is on authentic momentsâĶ the laughter, seriousness, confidence, and individuality that make your child them.

Our sessions are only 15 minutes long. This shorter timeframe is intentional. Children stay engaged, relaxed, and happy, allowing us to capture natural expressions before attention spans fade.

Personality Portraits work beautifully for children of almost any age.
They are especially popular for children from 2 years and up, when personality and expression really begin to shine.

Thatâs completely normal and honestly expected.
I gently guide each session by chatting, joking and allowing children time to settle. Some of the best portraits come from children who start off shy or full of energy. The session is designed around your child, not the other way around.

HonestlyâĶ whatever they want!
Simple, neutral clothing does photograph beautifully and creates timeless black and white portraits. But if your child wants to wear their favourite Bluey tee, their pink sparkly tutu or batman costumeâĶ let them.
These portraits are about capturing who they are right now and sometimes those well loved outfits are part of the story.

Personality Portrait Sessions are primarily focused on individual portraits, but siblings are absolutely welcome to be photographed together.

Your online gallery will be delivered within 7â10 days after your session, ready for you to view and select your favourite images.

Not by default. Personality Portraits are all about creating something a little different from what you'll find elsewhere. These sessions are designed specifically for striking black and white portraits that focus on expression, character and personality rather than colour or styling.
That said, you can choose to receive a colour gallery of the images you purchase for an additional $50 upon booking.

These portraits are intentionally created to be printed and displayed. Displayed BIG!
Professional prints and wall art are available so your images become part of your home rather than living on a phone or computer.

Simply click the Book Now button on the website and select an available session time. If you have questions before booking, youâre always welcome to get in touch.

As Personality Portrait sessions are only held twice a month and typically sell out, I don't offer rescheduling. However, if you provide at least 24 hours' notice, your session fee will be fully refunded. This gives me the opportunity to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
You're then welcome to book a new session date when future releases become available.
I completely understand that life happens and I'll always do my best to be fair while ensuring these limited session spots are available to other families.
